Q & A
with Lara
How did you get into the field?
Well, I've had I've had a "front-row seat"—from childhood on—to industry insider insights, that I just don't see around social media, youtube or even ChatGPT...
Not one, but two industry pilots—that I watched BFF-mom in—reeled me in:
Jane Fonda’s first-of-its-kind strength video for women, and Richard Simmons first-of-its-kind meal plan.
My aunt M.D. was Public Health Commissioner of New Mexico (from NYC), with cutting edge health practices.
Passionate about nutrition and longevity, I went to grad school for it, then post-grad for stress-management, mindfulness-based (which was also just emerging).
I kept learning alongside "celebrity expert" colleagues, consulting high-performers to the everyman.
I bring "tried-and-true" yet always "up-to-the-minute" insight into what's working best for our bodies now!
What's your mission?
Well... clients as young as 23 have reported energy like a grandma. When was the first moment you felt older?
I started at 29, on a date with a "kindred spirit," also 29. He said, “We have matching lines around our left eye!" Oh the synchronicity!
If my skin was getting some wear and tear so young, what other organs were too?!
Around 40, I got heart palpitations (despite healthy eating, sans saturated fat), which my mom had been hospitalized for in her 50s. Oh. heck. no! I also had shifting weight, less energy, and more.
Professionally, I found the metabolic root of it all, and nutritionally restored it all, almost reversing time.
Now I help others regain "time and energy," from their figure to skin health to bill of health—so that however much time is gone, their best life is still ahead.
It’s never too late, and it’s never too early, 70s to 20s, to tap in.
What's your approach?
Living the real (top-ranked) “mediterranean diet,” while working there for years, informed my approach...
Not this food or that, but the lifestyle...
Like heating up food on an actual stove, vs microwave!
Or family-owned eateries, serving warm-hearted and fun-loving connection, as the main ingredient.
As for food, my take is beyond more plants, or protein, or calories—though I do have a "plant-rich" slant (maybe even “green mediterranean,” a researched twist with anti-aging benefits).
Beyond that, it's about "refueling our body's systems" from wear-and-tear, and getting into the habit of it.
Whether you're confused about what to eat anymore, or you kinda know, but aren't doing it... I've got you.
